Little Miami 18-4 run good enough to top Clinton-Massie

ADAMS TOWNSHIP – Plagued by 22 turnovers, the Clinton-Massie girls basketball team was defeated by Little Miami 63-39 Monday in non-league action at the Lebanon Road gym.

The Lady Falcons drop to 2-3 on the year. The Lady Panthers are 3-1.

“Just turning the ball over way too much and digging ourselves too big of a hole,” CM coach Tim McGraw said.

Hannah Doss had a solid all-around game, scoring six points, grabbing five rebounds, handing out four assists and coming up with four steals.

Johanna Theetge and McKenzie Avery led Massie in scoring with eight points each.

Clinton-Massie trailed by seven at halftime, 24-17, and cut the difference to 24-21 by scoring the first four points of the third quarter.

But Little Miami then scored 18 of the next 22 points to put the game away, leading 42-25 after three.

Mariah Clemons had 14 points and 12 rebounds for Little Miami.
