The Clinton-Massie eighth grade boys basketball team opened the season with two wins.

On Wednesday, Clinton-Massie defeated Wilmington’s Rodger O. Borror eighth graders 31-24.

Carter Euton led Massie with 11 points while Lex Russell added seven and Blake Ireland tossed in six. Dawson Conley had three points, Kody Zantene and Carter Frank scored two each.

On Monday, Clinton-Massie defeated East Clinton, 49-40.

Zantene was top scorer with 12 points. Russell added 11 and Euton had nine. Frank finished with eight points and Ireland chipped in with seven. Colin Swope had two points.
