The Blanchester seventh grade girls basketball team was defeated by Batavia 27-16 Wednesday.

Kaidyn Hamm and Olivia Potts led the young Ladycats with five points each.

Bekah Davenport, Ainsley Whitaker and Braylee Stanforth had two points each. Whitaker, Stanforth and Hailey Mulvihill performed well on the boards.

Blanchester will host Wilmington’s Rodger O. Borror Middle School 4:30 p.m. Monday.
