Blanchester freshmen dominate Georgetown 55-21

BLANCHESTER – The Blanchester High School freshman basketball team defeated Georgetown 55-21 Friday night at the BHS gym.

”I thought we played hard and are continuing to get better each day,” BHS coach John Lovin said. “I was proud of our second half effort. Kyle Hopkins really stepped up the defensive intensity and the team followed his lead. We also played much smarter in the second half.”

Colton Wilson had 11 points and Trenton Czaika added 10.

Blanchester won the game despite making just 3 of 19 free throws.

Hunter Hartman and Hopkins scored eight points each. Bryce Highlander had seven points, Logan Heitzman had four and Brian Miller scored three. Nolan Gray and Matt Holland scored two points each.
