Osborn, Law top finishers for Hurricane at Indiana swim meet

AURORA, Ind. – Sam Osborn and Harrison Law stepped atop the podium four times each to lead the Wilmington Hurricane swimmers at the South Dearborn High School Invitational Saturday in Aurora, Ind.

Osborn took fourth in the 50-yard freestyle and fifth in the 100-yard freestyle while Law finished sixth in the 100 butterfly and 100 back.

Both were part of the fifth-place 400 free relay and sixth-place 200 medley relay team with Josh Andrews and P.J. Godsey.

The Wilmington boys 200 free relay team of Ryland Bowman, Connor O’Boyle, Rory Bell and Simon Heys also climbed the podium with a fourth-place finish.

The Hurricane girls 200 free relay squad of Petra Bray, Abby Greene, Shannon O’Boyle and Morgan Bahr and the 400 free relay squad of Rachael Billups, Hannah Anderson, Meredith Robinson and O’Boyle reached the podium with fifth-place finishes.

Both teams return to the pool Tuesday at Wilmington College when they will face Clinton-Massie and St. Mary’s Memorial.

Girls Team Results: Union (Ky.) Ryle 306, Cincinnati Mother of Mercy 452, Cincinnati Oak Hills 209, Milan (Ind.) 133.5, Aurora (Ind.) South Dearborn 132, Oldenburg (Ind.) Academy 97, Wilmington 82.5.

Boys Team Results: Cincinnati Oak Hills 347, Cincinnati LaSalle 197, Milan (Ind.) 188, Union (Ky.) Ryle 175, Aurora (Ind.) South Dearborn 126, Wilmington 121, Oldenburg (Ind.) Academy 30.
