BLANCHESTER — The Blanchester girls reserve basketball team defeated East Clinton Monday night, 46-16.

Casey Kingsland and Lana Roy led Blanchester (2-3 on the year) with eight points each.

Maddie Wells and Savanna Shank each scored five points. Lilly Brown, Noelani Tangonan and Becca Kratzer each had four points. Alex Burkle, Ashlin Benne, Holly Scott and Maddie Pohlman each scored two points.

Katrina Bowman led the Lady Astros with six points. Gracie Evanshine added four points. Kaitlyn Talbott, Alexis Rolfe and Miranda Beener each had two points.

Blanchester led 13-4 at the end of the first quarter and outscored East Clinton 22-6 in the second half. Blanchester coach Elyse Pyle commended her squad’s defensive effort in the win.
