BLANCHESTER – The Blanchester High School reserve girls basketball team was defeated by Hillsboro Thursday 28-19 in non-league action at the BHS gym.

The Ladycats trailed by just one, 8-7, after one quarter but were shutout, 6-0, in the second quarter. Hillsboro took the third quarter, 12-6, and led 26-13 going to the final period.

Holly Scott had 10 points to lead Blanchester (3-7 on the season) in scoring.

Savanna Shank added four points while Becca Kratzer and Caili Baumann scored two points each. Lana Roy tossed in a free throw.
