Horn, Kessler win titles for East Clinton JH wrestling

WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE – The East Clinton Junior High School wrestling team finished seventh out of 18 teams Saturday at the Washington Junior High Invitational.

Michael Horn at 134 and Ethan Kessler at 150 were both weight-class champions for the young Astros. Horn had two pins and a tech fall en route to his title while Kessler recorded three pins.

Braydin Creamer was second at 205 pounds and Jacob Cubbage was fourth at 245 pounds.

Jayson Edison at 205 and Zach Vest at 116 both notched two pins in the tournament. Cooper Rack at 92 pounds and Connor Day at 128 pounds also had victories for East Clinton.

Team results had Dublin Sells on top followed by Miami Trace, Washington, Western Brown, Tria, Greeneview, East Clinton, Gallia Academy, Rushville, Hillsboro, Huntington Ross, Chillicothe, Madison-Plains, Teays Valley East, Finland, Southeastern, Paint Valley and Waynesville.
