The Blanchester eighth grade boys basketball team was defeated by Fayetteville in a nail-biter 45-43 Wednesday afternoon.

Justin Hogsett had 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Wildcats.

Seth Akers scored 13 points and handed out three assists. Gabe McVey had five points and Reagan Burch scored four points and hauled down nine rebounds while handing out three assists. Ryan Brewer had three points and Nate Coyle scored one point.
