The Blanchester eighth grade boys basketball team defeated Wilmington’s Rodger O. Borror Middle School 27-24 Wednesday night.

Justin Hogsett had 20 points and seven rebounds to pace the young Wildcats to their second victory of the season.

Jackson Bray came off the Blanchester bench with four points and seven rebounds. Gabe McVey had two points, five rebounds and three steals. Seth Akers had a point and blocked four shots.

The trio of Reagan Burch (five rebounds, four steals), Ryan Brewer (five rebounds) and Johnathan Herzner played key defensive roles for the Wildcats, coach Brad Ballinger said.
