East Clinton JH wrestlers 15th at Beavercreek Classic

BEAVERCREEK – The East Clinton Junior High School wrestling team finished 15th out of 21 teams Saturday at the Beavercreek Middle School Classic.

Ethan Kessler and Jacob Cubbage were both fifth-place finishers for the young Astros. Kessler had five pins in the 150 pound weight class. Cubbage competed in the 245 class.

Colten Haffner was sixth at 160 pounds.

East Clinton was ninth among all schools in terms of most pins in the least amount of mat time, coach Andrew Ramsey said. Kessler was second among individuals in that category.

Connor Day had a pair of pins at 128 while Cooper Rack, Braydin Creamer and Michael Horn had one pin each. Jayson Edison recorded a decision victory.

Graham was the overall team champion with Marysville second and Mechanicsburg third.
