The Blanchester eighth grade girls basketball team defeated Clinton-Massie 30-22 Saturday to open SBAAC tournament play.

Madison Creager led the Ladycats with 10 points.

Grace Irwin added eight in the win while Taylor Combs tossed in six points. Lacie Tedrick, Daelyn Staehling and Emma Winemiller had two points each.
