MOWRYSTOWN – East Clinton lost both games of a non-league baseball doubleheader to Whiteoak Saturday at WHS, 9-0 and 8-5.

“We came out flat,” EC coach Brian Carey said. “We did not come to play. Our pitchers … threw well as a team. We just have to be able to play defense behind them.

“The boys know they can play better than this and proved it during our scrimmages. It was a good learning moment for us.”

Zach Mitchell and Matthew Hall both drove in a couple runs in the second game.
