BLUE ASH – The Blanchester High School reserve baseball team was defeated by the Cincinnati Trailblazers 8-1 Thursday at the Blue Ash Sports Center.

Trenton Czaika had two doubles and a run batted in for the Wildcats. Justin Myers also had a hit.

Coach Andrew Freeman said it had been a week since his squad has played a game.

“The coaching staff was concerned that we may start a little flat,” Freeman said. “However we scored a run in the top of the first inning. We had multiple balls that were hit hard throughout the game, but they were right at someone.

“We also had quite a few base runners but some key mistakes cost us multiple scoring opportunities which really made the difference in the game.”

Czaika and Kaleb Goodin pitched for the Wildcats, combining to strike out seven batters.
