Wilmington’s Rodger O. Borror Middle School tennis team defeated Valley View 5-0 Thursday.

“It was extremely windy but they met the challenge,” ROB coach Cathy Fay said. “We practiced ahead of the match and were accustomed to the challenging wind.”

The young Wilmington team is 3-0 on the season.

While most courts were easy victories for the local squad, Jenna Taylor had a battle at second singles and pulled off a 9-7 win.
