WC women 11th at All-Ohio outdoor meet

DELAWARE – The Wilmington College women’s track and field team finished 11th out of 19 teams Saturday in the All-Ohio Outdoor Track and Field Championship at Ohio Wesleyan University.

Emma Burke led the team on the track, finishing sixth in the 100-meter hurdles in 16.25 seconds.

In the field events, Lauren Stacy paved the way earning second-place in the shot put (12.21 meters), third-place in the hammer throw (48.59 meters), and fifth-place in the discus throw (40.89 meters).

She was backed by Kayli Sullivan who was 13th in the hammer throw (40.83) and 14th in the shot put (10.52).

In the 400-meter dash, Cheyenne Rhodes, a Blanchester High School graduate, ran a personal best 66.93. Lisa Bailey had a season best of 13.27 in the 100-meter dash.

Wilmington heads to the Jesse Owens Classic at Ohio State University on Friday.
