The Blanchester junior varsity baseball team defeated Bethel-Tate 17-4 and lost to the Cincinnati Trailblazers 12-2 last week.

Against the Tigers, Blanchester fell behind 4-0 before running away with the victory.

Kaleb Goodin pitching five innings for the Wildcats, striking out five. At the plate, Goodin had a hit, drove in a run and scored two runs.

Hayden Tedrick had four hits, including a double, drove in three runs and scored three runs for Blanchester.

Trenton Czaika had a couple of hits, knocked in a teammate and scored four times. Nathan Moore had a single and scored twice.

Against the Trailblazers in a game played at the Blue Ash Sports Center, the Wildcats gave up five runs in the first inning and never recovered.

“I felt that a lot of this game boiled down to our inability to make an adjustment when necessary,” BHS coach Andrew Freeman said. “We allowed them to have too many free bases and they were able to capitalize with timely base hits.”
