Burke second in 400 hurdles at UK Relays

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Wilmington College women’s track & field sophomore Emma Burke took second place in the 400-meter hurdles Saturday highlighting the Fightin’ Quakers performance at the University of Kentucky Relays.

Burke ran a personal-best 1:05.54 in the event, finishing less than two seconds behind the winner, Alexia DeHaven-Boyd of Lindsey Wilson College.

Lauren Stacy finished fourth in the hammer throw with a heave of 154-10 and took fifth place in the discus with a toss of 120-11.

Ryan Allen finished eighth in the pole vault, clearing 10-0.

Wilmington has next weekend off before traveling to Delaware, Ohio, for the Great Lakes Regional Qualifier hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University.
