The second annual Ohio Valley Hoops Classic boys basketball event at Wilmington College’s Fred Raizk Arena is just over two weeks away.

Some of the top senior players in the event can sign National Letters of Intent Wednesday. Among those, Wilmington High School senior Jarron Cumberland will sign with the University of Cincinnati.

Also, each team in the event will be served a meal by McCoy’s Catering. Family, friends and fans will be able to eat along with their favorite team or player at the same time. On-line registration for the meal can be completed at the Ohio Valley Hoops Classic website (www.ohiovalleyhoopsclassic.com).

Meals are $8 per person and includes drinks. Meals will be served in the old Clinton County YMCA. Pre-registration is encouraged to ensure enough available meals are available. Those who register on-line must bring a printed receipt in order to be served.

The meal includes pulled pork or smoked brisket, au gratin potatoes, green beans, cole slaw, buns, cookies and condiments.

Teams (with times) eating on Friday will be Wilmington (12:30 p.m.), Northmont (2:30 p.m.), Northridge (4:15 p.m.), New Albany (4:15 p.m.), Johnstown-Monroe (4:15 p.m.), South Ripley (6 p.m.) and Mason (7:45 p.m.).

Teams (with times) eating on Saturday will be Leesburg Fairfield (4 p.m.), Mansfield Senior (6 p.m.), Lakota East (7:45 p.m.), Indianapolis Park Tudor (7:45 p.m.) and Paint Valley (9:15 p.m.).

Cumberland, a 6-5 shooting guard, is the No. 2 player in the Class of 2016, according to rankings by Prep Hoops Ohio. He is ranked as the No. 65 senior in the nation by ESPN, according to the OVHC website.

Among the other top players in the event, according to the OVHC website:

• Markell Johnson, 6-0 point guard, of Cleveland East Tech, No. 3 junior in Ohio by Ohio Prep Hoops; No. 57 junior in nation by ESPN. College interest from DePaul, Arizona State and Florida.

• Jaren Jackson Jr., 6-8 power forward, of Park Tudor (Ind.), No. 3 junior in Indiana and an ESPN 4-Star recruit, per OVHC website. College interest from Indiana, Purdue, Michigan State and Xavier among others.

• Jaylen Harris, 6-7 small forward, of Cleveland Heights, No. 6 junior in Ohio and an ESPN 4-Star recruit in football. Ohio State, Michigan and Kentucky interested for football.

• Kobe Webster, 5-11 point guard, of Park Tudor (Ind.), No. 10 junior in Indiana with Ball State and Cornell showing collegiate interest.
