Clinton-Massie boys, girls open bowling season with two wins

MIDDLETOWN — The Clinton-Massie boys and girls bowling teams opened the season Tuesday with wins over Little Miami here at Eastern Lanes.

The CM boys were victorious 2,373 to 1,957.

The Lady Falcons came out on top 1,842 to 1,776.

On the boys side, Aric France led the way with a 403 (213, 190) series.

Joey Marburger was close behind at 395, bowling games of 214 and 181. Jacob Wellman had a 320 (178 and 142) while Corey Potts had 286 (138 and 148).

Kenton McInerney had a single game of 127 and Chandler Morsch had a single game of 146.

In the Baker games, Clinton-Massie finished with 183, 182, 177 and 154.

For the girls, Kathryn Wilson was the top scorer but it was close at the top with two others.

Wilson finished with a 296 series (games of 147 and 149) while Gwen Broderick had a series of 271 (120 and 151) and Katie Starnes had a 268 (119 and 149).

Josie Wolfe had a 221 series (106 and 115) and Casey Cochran finished with 220 (128 and 92).

In the Baker games, the Lady Falcons had 116, 114, 180 and 156.
