Season best lifts Lady Falcons over WHS, MT

WILMINGTON – Posting a season low team score, the Clinton-Massie girls golf team defeated Wilmington 187 to 197 Thursday at the Elks 797 Golf Course.

“Hopefully we can keep it up as we move forward in league play,” CM coach Tim McGraw.

Miami Trace also played in the match and posted a score of 230.

Gabby Woods of Clinton-Massie carded eight pars en route to a 1-over par 36 on the back nine at the Elks.

Taylor Anderson had a personal best 44 while Luci Payne posted a personal best 58.

Also for the Lady Falcons, MacKynzie Vonderhaar had a 53 and Abby Schneider came in with a54. Pearl Spurlock had a 55.

For Wilmington, Lilly Middleton had a 40 to lead the Lady Hurricane.

Meredith Robinson was next with a 51 and Madison Gilbert had a 52. Maddie Steinmetz shot a 54. Carrie Robinson had a 57 and Brooklyn Taylor shot a 59.
