The Blanchester Junior High School boys basketball teams posted a pair of wins Wednesday over Batavia.
The 8th grade boys evened their record at 1-1 with a 30-25 victory.
Tanner Creager led Blanchester with 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 6 steals.
Avin Whitaker had 6 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Jasper Damewood, Jay Ashcraft, Hunter Bare and Kaleb Goodin had 2 points each. Cameron Skidmore and Braden Roy rounded out the scoring with 1 free throw each.
Goodin and Ashcraft both grabbed 6 rebounds. Bare had 5 rebounds and 4 blocked shots. Roy handed out 3 assists.
The seventh grade Wildcats won handily 56-30 to improve to 2-0 on the year.
Brayden Sipple led 11 players in the scoring column with 24 points.
Hunter Hartmann had 6 points, Trenton Czaika and Nolan Gray added 5 points each. Brian Miller and Logan Heitzman contributed 4 points each while Bryce Highlander, Carter Stevens and Brody Rice had 2 points each. Matt Holland and Colton Wilson had 1 free throw each.
Sipple led the Wildcats with 6 rebounds and 3 blocked shots. Czaika had 4 steals to lead the way.
