Improving Lady Falcons drop three

The Clinton-Massie girls bowling team lost to a trio of teams this week.

On Tuesday, the Lady Falcons lost to Washington Senior and Miami Trace at Royal Z Lanes in South Central Ohio League action. The Lady Falcons had 1,996 while the Lady Blue Lions had 2,135 and the Lady Panthers had 2,124.

Katie Starnes was the top bowler for CM with 342 (197, 145).

Kathryn Wilson had 324 (164, 160), Gwen Broderick had 300 (146, 154), Casey Cochran had 280 (personal best 157, 123) and Josie Wolfe had 265 (136, 129).

Baker games for the CM girls were 152, 190 and 143.

On Monday, Xenia defeated Clinton-Massie 1,85 to 1,579 at Beaver-Vu Lanes.

Wolfe led Massie with 255 (114, 141) while Starnes was right behind with 251 (130, 121).

Brittany Fry (145, 98) and Wilson (122, 121) both finished with 243. Broderick had 212.

Baker games were 114, 140 and 111.

“I couldn’t be prouder of the girls,” said coach Shonda Marburger. “They all have improved their averages from the beginning which shows we are moving in the right direction.”
