Good among best in academics, soccer

NEW CONCORD – The Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association named the their respective All-Ohio and Academic All-Ohio teams.

Senior Erika Good (Miamisburg, OH/Miamisburg) was named first team Academic All-Ohio and third team All-Ohio, while junior Taylor Scott (Lynchburg, OH/Lynchburg Clay) earned second team Academic All-Ohio and third team All-Ohio.

Good, who missed nearly all her junior season with an injury, earned honorable mention All-OAC honors after playing a pivotal part of the WC defense. She was second on the team with 11 points, five goals and an assist.

Scott, the team’s top scoring threat, was second team All-OAC. She led the team in goals (six), assists (five) and points (17). Her 17 points ranks her eighth in the league.

Senior Ashley Stockton (Waynesville, OH/Waynesville) was third team Academic All-Ohio. A defender, Stockton scored four goals this season – all game-winners.

“Erika, Taylor, and Ashley are tremendous players, leaders and out-standing students,” said Wilmington College head coach Steve Spirk. “They are what Wilmington College women’s soccer is about and what we strive for every year! We are very proud of them.

Wilmington finished the season 10-8-1 overall, 4-4-1 in the OAC, and advanced to the OAC tournament for the first time in three seasons.
