Harbaugh putting Michigan’s spring game under the lights

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Jim Harbaugh has come up with another way to get in the spotlight.

Michigan announced Friday its spring football game will be at night for the first time. The game is April 1.

The game will serve as the 15th and final practice for Harbaugh’s second spring with the Wolverines. Harbaugh is taking the team to practice in Florida later this month during the school’s spring break, a move NCAA President Mark Emmert says he does not favor.

Harbaugh is clearly a favorite in the town he grew up in and at the school he played quarterback for three decades ago.

His plans Friday included signing autographs at a downtown store and giving a pep talk to people before they plunged into pools on the Big House turf at a charity event.
