Kelvin Gaines has been hired as the men’s head basketball coach at Southern State Community College.
Gaines comes to SSCC with coaching experience at Linden McKinley Stem Academy, SCPA and AAU teams.
Gaines replaces Blake Kibler.
Gaines is looking forward to meeting the returning players as well as recruiting great talent to play at Southern State Community College.
“This is a dream come true,” said Kelvin Gaines. “I am thankful for the opportunity to become Southern State Patriots head basketball coach.”
The SSCC Patriots participate in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). Southern State fields teams in the following sports men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s basketball, and softball.
