After four seasons, Brett Yenger has resigned as the women’s lacrosse coach at Wilmington College.

“We would like to thank Brett for her dedication to the women’s lacrosse program and to the university during the last four seasons,” said WC Vice President for Athletic Administration/Director of Athletics Terry Rupert. “She has the young program headed in the right direction, and we are truly thankful for her commitment and enthusiasm.”

A nationwide search for the next head coach at Wilmington will begin immediately.

Yenger resigned to pursue additional educational opportunities and will be the assistant coach at Cleary University in Howell, Mich.

Yenger is the only head lacrosse coach in school history and posted a 5-52 record in her four years. After losing its first 25 matches, the women’s team was 5-27 in the last two years.
