Transy blanks WC men 2-0

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Unable to generate any offense, the Wilmington College men’s soccer team dropped a 2-0 match to Transylvania in a non-league match on the Pioneers home pitch.

Transylvania had a 13-12 advantage in shots on goal, but only three of the Wilmington shots were on goal. Transy put eight shots on the WC goal.

Benny Spirk had three shots, two on the Transy goal.

Nick Latessa, the Quakers goalkeeper, had five saves.

The loss puts Wilmington at 2-5 on the year. The shutout loss was the third of the year for the Quakers.
