The Wilmington College men’s basketball team travels to Heidelberg 7:30 p.m. Wednesday for another Ohio Athletic Conference game.

“(Heidelberg is) a solid basketball team. They are athletic with a lot of depth,” said Wilmington head coach K.C. Hunt. “They are going to try to speed us up and create a chaotic pace of play. They are a good basketball team and we have a big challenge.”

Guards Kiere Bennie and DeAvery Collinsa are leading the team in scoring with 13.0 points and 12.3 points, respectively. Collins is shooting 48.1 percent (39-of-81) from the field, while Bennie is taking a team-high 109 shots.

Backcourt players Ben Jones (7.4 points) and Isaac Everette (6.8 points) are third and fourth on the team in scoring.

“They have good guards; they are deep at that position,” said Hunt. “They really attack the rim. We have to do a really good job of limiting penetrating and keeping the ball in from of us.”

Wilmington know what to expect from the athletic Student Princes on defense as well.

“They are going to press all over the court with the diamond press, run and jump, a little bit of everything coming from all angles,” said Hunt. “We have to go a good job of valuing the basketball and being tough with it.”
