Freedom Surfers VBS coming

Freedom Surfers Vacation Bible School will be held from 6-9 p.m. Sunday, June 28 to Thursday, July 2 for fourth through sixth grades at Sligo Baptist Church, 249 S. Beechgrove Road, Wilmington.

Come learn the values that have made our country so great, learn the true motivation of Christopher Columbus’ voyage and many other evidences of our Christian heritage. Make your very own tie-dye patriotic shirt and other creative crafts and enjoy a time for snacks and fun games. Your children will learn great songs that will stir their hearts for the Lord and for America.

On Thursday at 6 p.m. the adult choir will sing with the children, kids will receive awards, and there will be a picnic-style dinner under the pavilion after the program. Bring loose change (penny wars between the boys and girls) that will be donated to the Christian Law Association, an organization in Mason that is on the front lines of helping to preserve religious freedoms in America.
