Drug charges stand out

WILMINGTON — Of 22 people indicted by a recent Clinton County grand jury session, 16 received at least one drug-related charge.

Among those charges related to drugs are theft of drugs, drug possession, possessing chemicals to make drugs, dealing marijuana, trafficking hashish, illegal manufacture of drugs, possessing heroin, possessing drug abuse instruments, using weapons while intoxicated, permitting drug abuse, and endangering children.

The people identified below were indicted on the charge or charges listed. These alleged activities reportedly took place in Clinton County.

Dustin S. Drake, 36, formerly of Wilmington, was indicted with theft of drugs.

Stanley L. Harris, 32, of Cincinnati, was indicted with aggravated possession of drugs.

Charles Pennington, 32, of Greenfield, was indicted with breaking and entering, and petty theft.

Shane M. Earley, 43, of Wilmington, was indicted with illegal assembly or possession of chemicals to make drugs, illegal manufacture of drugs, aggravated possession of drugs, endangering children, and unlawful possession of dangerous ordnance.

Jamie W. Cox, 40, of Wilmington, was indicted with illegal assembly or possession of chemicals to make drugs, illegal manufacture of drugs, aggravated possession of drugs, and endangering children.

Robert W. Conley, 57, of Wilmington, was indicted with illegal assembly or possession of chemicals to make drugs, illegal manufacture of drugs, aggravated possession of drugs, and endangering children.

Brian K. Napier, 50, of Blanchester, was indicted with illegal assembly or possession of chemicals to make drugs.

Zackery Hottinger, 31, of Martinsville, was indicted with using weapons while intoxicated and having weapons while under disability.

Nicholas Keith Brush Sr., 29, of Wilmington, was indicted with two counts of trafficking marijuana and two counts of trafficking hashish.

Rachael D. Roberts, 24, of Wilmington, was indicted with possessing heroin, possessing drug abuse instruments, and with violating a law pertaining to persons who may sell, purchase, distribute, or deliver dangerous drugs.

Christopher S. Boggs, 38, of Wilmington, was indicted with six counts of trafficking in drugs.

Robert E. Allgood, 34, of Wilmington, was indicted with four counts of trafficking marijuana, two counts of trafficking drugs, and two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs.

Matthew L. Fulton, 29, formerly of Wilmington, was indicted with aggravated possession of drugs.

Danielle N. Smith, 23, of Wilmington, was indicted with aggravated trafficking in drugs, aggravated possession of drugs, endangering children, and permitting drug abuse.

Dee Rogers, 31, of Wilmington, was indicted with aggravated trafficking in drugs, aggravated possession of drugs, and endangering children.

Jason Conner, 32, of Wilmington, was indicted with failing to appear in court.

Stephen T. McManima, 24, of Xenia, was indicted with failing to appear in court.

Jason Dwight Robinson, 43, of Wilmington, was indicted with failing to appear in court.

Four other people were indicted in the same session of the local grand jury. Articles about them and their charges already have been published in the News Journal, and so those defendants’ names and the nature of their indictments are not listed in this report.
