CINCINNATI — The Blanchester girls tennis team dropped a 5-0 match Monday to Cincinnati powerhouse Summit Country Day in girls tennis action at the Summit Country Day Sports Complex.

SCD is 1-0; BHS drops to 0-2.

“Summit is a very good tennis team,” said BHS coach Matt Sexton. “They have year-round tennis players that compete at the highest level. I’m pleased we got to play that match. We played well against a tremendous team.”

The second doubles team for Summit — Haley Bosse and Sarah Bissantz — are two-time district qualifiers and won 80 percent of their matches last season, Sexton said.

“I thought it was good experience for Erin (Wilson) and Lilly (Tedrick) to play someone of that caliber,” he added.
