LEES CREEK — The East Clinton volleyball team was defeated by Hillsboro 23-25, 12-25, 9-15 in South Central Ohio League action Tuesday in the EC gym.

“We’re young and we’re playing like it,” said EC coach Sarah Sodini. “Hillsboro has a good middle hitter and our starting middle was out with a sprained ankle.”

Mindy Bean had an ace, three kills and six digs for the Lady Astros. Sam Gaddis had nine assists, two digs and a kill. Sam Bronson had an ace and four digs. Sydney Landrum had a dig.

Taylor Spence had four digs and Alexis Haines added one dig. Paige Lilly had three kills and two digs. Kenzie Campbell had three kills and a block. Kate Durbin had an assist, three blocks and a kill.
