WCH stops EC volleyball

WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE — The East Clinton volleyball came up short against Washington Senior 23-25, 2-25, 25-17, 23-25 Tuesday in a South Central Ohio League match in Fayette County.

“Besides the second game, the girls played very well,” said coach Sarah Sodini. “They’re starting to come together as a team. Once they get over the hump and get their first win, they’ll be unstoppable.”

Mindy Bean had three aces, six kills, a block and two digs.

“Mindy found her confidence and played well,” said Sodini. “Kenzie Campbell also had an exceptional game.”

Campbell finished with two aces, eight kills, eight blocks and seven digs.

Also for the Lady Astros, Sam Gaddis had an ace, 13 assists, four blocks and eight digs. Sam Bronson had seven digs and Alexis Haines had three digs. Kayla Hall had three kills, three blocks and a dig. Paige Lilly had two kills and nine digs. Kate Durbin had an ace, four kills, four blocks and three digs.
