LEES CREEK — The East Clinton volleyball team defeated McClain Tuesday in a South Central Ohio League match for its first win of the season.

Set scores were 25-18, 25-23, 25-18.

“It was such an exciting game and I’m very proud of our first win,” said EC coach Sarah Sodini. “It was definitely a team win.”

Mindy Bean and Kate Durbin had excellent games, Sodini said.

Bean had five aces, seven kills, an assist and two digs. Durbin had eight kills and a block at the net.

Sam Gaddis had an ace, 20 assists and a block. Sam Bronson had an ace and three digs. Taylor Spence had one dig. Alexis Haines had four digs and Kayla Hall had a kill and three blocks. Paige Lilly had an ace, four kills and five digs. Kenzie Campbell had one kill.
