Celebration of the Decade: 10 Years of the Quaker Heritage Center is underway at the facility at 1870 Quaker Way on the campus of Wilmington College.
Special events include a retrospective exhibit now through Dec. 11, as well as a birthday party Thursday, Sept. 24 at 7:30 p.m. That evening will include games in the gallery, behind-the-scenes tours of collections storage, and, of course, birthday cake. Wear your party hats and have some fun.
Museum Day LIVE will be Saturday, Sept. 26, noon to 5 p.m. The Quaker Heritage Center is proud to participate in Smithsonian magazine’s 11th annual Museum Day LIVE! Join them for family games in the gallery and behind-the-scenes tours of collections storage during this special Saturday afternoon event.
Gallery hours are: Regular hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Extended hours, Saturday, Oct. 3, noon to 5 p.m.; Tuesday, Oct. 13, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 31, noon to 5 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 21, noon to 5 p.m.; Closed for holidays, Nov. 25-27.
