ECJH splits volleyball with CM

ADAMS TOWNSHIP — The East Clinton Junior High School volleyball team split matches Tuesday with Clinton-Massie.

The seventh grade Lady Astros were 25-21, 25-19 winners.

Katrina Bowman had 11 points, six aces, a kill and a dig. Gracie Evanshine had seven points, five aces, a kill and two digs. Alexis Rolfe had seven points and two aces. Jericka Boggs had six points, four aces and a kill. Gracie Boggs had three points, a kill and a dig.

Coach Jaime Evanshine said the team’s unity is what is carrying the Lady Astros to victory. The team improved its serve consistency and the back row passing was better as well, the coach said.

The eighth grade EC squad lost 23-25, 14-25.

Kiya Byrd and Camille Hughes had one kill each. Rhylee Luttrell, Riley Flint and Reagan Landrum had one dig each. Myah Jones had three aces and a dig. Emma Malone had an ace and three digs.
