Blan boys whip Williamsburg 8-0

WILLIAMSBURG — Blanchester controlled the middle of the field Thursday against Williamsburg in an 8-0 win in Southern Buckeye Conference National Division boys soccer action.

BHS coach Troy Ballinger said midfielders Brendan Daugherty and Nevan Coyle keyed the BHS attack on offense and led the charge on defense by controlling the pace of the game.

BHS goalkeeper Dakota Penquite made five saves in the win.

Logan Swinderman had three goals and an assist while Sam Schafer led with three assists.

Dade Coyle and Topher Farrow had two goals each. Jacob Burden also scored for Blanchester.

Assists went to Noah Armocida, Nevan Coyle, Daugherty, Farrow and Dade Coyle.
