4 CM runners in top 10 at WCH

WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE — Four Clinton-Massie runners finished in the top 10 of their respective races Saturday at the Washington Invitational.

For the girls, Katie Hughes was runnerup out of 22 in 21:53 while teammate A.J. Houseman was fifth in 23:35.

On the boys side, Jacob Whitaker was fourth in 19:02 and Alex Hudson was sixth in 19:31. There were 49 runners in the boys high school race.

Zach Hammonds was 15th in 20:42 and Logan Fisher was 26th in 22:03. Brennen Swope was 27th in 22:13 and Talent Sagraves was 29th in a personal beset 22:27.

Colin McDowell finished 32nd in 22:48 and Jakob Meranda was 33rd in 23:01.

As a team, the Falcons were fourth overall.
