David and Barbara Sipe of Wilmington will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 16 by having dinner with family.
The Sipes married on Oct. 16, 1965 in Massweiler, Germany. Barbara’s sister, Sue Jordan Straight, was matron of honor. Gary R. Straight served as best man. The couple traveled many years in the military, including Germany and Okinawa.
David and Barbara have two children, Alice (Jon) Amburgey and Mark (Kathy) Sipe of Cincinnati. David has one child by his first marriage, David T. (Sherlee) Sipe of Houston. They have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
