BLANCHESTER —Two Blanchester men face drug and firearm charges as a result of an April incident.

According to Blanchester Police Chief Scott Reinbolt, in the early morning hours of Saturday, April 16 police were called to an apartment at 815 E. Cherry St. where two residents reported being assaulted by persons they did not know. Those assaulted were identified as Alan Bradley, 23, and Youssef Mahanna, 24.

“Inside the apartment, officers saw items of drug paraphernalia as well as numerous firearms,” Reinbolt said. “A search warrant was obtained for the home, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia were seized, as were several firearms. One of the firearms, a handgun, had an obliterated serial number.

“An investigation into the matter was opened, during which information was gathered suggesting that Mr. Bradley knows the identity of at least one of the men who committed the assault. Mr. Bradley has invoked his right not to speak with officers on the subject,” Reinbolt said.

Reinbolt said that, based on the evidence gathered during the course of the investigation, Alan Bradley was charged with one count of possession of a firearm with altered serial number, as well as two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia for items found during the search of the apartment.

Bradley was arrested without incident at his step-mother’s home at South Broadway Street Thursday afternoon, Reinbolt said, and was taken to the Clinton County Jail where he faced a Friday court appearance.

Youssef Mahanna was charged with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia for items found during the search, Reinbolt said. Mahanna was served a summons requiring his appearance in the Clinton County Municipal Court to answer the charges.
