Municipal court sentences handed down

WILMINGTON — The following report is compiled using a disposition report provided by Clinton County Municipal Court. The information includes the defendant’s name, age, residence if listed, charge(s) disposed, fine, court costs assessed, jail sentence and any special conditions. Municipal Judge Mike Daugherty oversees the court, which administers the law in criminal misdemeanor cases.

The following pled guilty or were found guilty of crimes between Dec. 12 and Dec. 16:

• Amber Morrison, 22, theft, sentenced to 30 days in jail (suspended), fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. Morrison must pay restitution of $8.99 to the business, have no contact with it, and write a letter of apology. Morrison is to have no similar offenses and remain on good behavior for two years.

• Mary Cassell, 37, of Port William, theft, trespassing, driving under financial responsibility law suspension or cancellation, sentenced to 120 days in jail (suspended), fined $1,200, assessed $375 court costs. Cassell will be under supervised probation if the court will suspend $500 of fine. Cassell will pay restitution of $39.99 to the business and must have no contact with it anywhere in the country. An additional charge of no operator’s license and failure to reinstate license were dismissed.

• Kathy Slone, 57, of Wilmington, theft, sentenced to 180 (suspended), fined $500, assessed $125 court costs. Slone must pay restitution of $27.90 to business by Feb. 10, 2017 and have no contact with it, and take part in non-reporting probation for three years.

• Jordan Bart, 24, of Wilmington, trespassing, sentenced to 30 days in jail, fined $250, assessed $125 court costs. Bart must take part in supervised probation, have no contact with the business, and two subjects.

• Tosha Lowry, 29, of Sabina, receiving stolen property, sentenced 180 days in jail (suspended), fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. Lowry must take part in supervised probation, and pay a restitution of $40 to victim and have no contact with him. Lowry must return to residential treatment as approval by probation.

• Joseph Quigley, Jr., 34, of New Vienna, theft, trespassing, sentenced to 60 days in jail (59 suspended), assessed $250 court costs. Quigly must write a letter of apology to the business, he must also take part in two years of supervised probation and pay costs only.

• Edward Ellars, 50, of Washington Court House, passing bad checks, sentenced to 10 days in jail (suspended), assessed $125 court costs. Ellars must pay costs only and restitution.

• Timothy Vogel, 27, of Fayetteville, felonious assault. The case was bound over to Clinton County Common Pleas Court. Vogel must have no contact with victim. Bond was set at $50,000.

• Marques Hammond, 41, of West Chester, going 91 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Alisha Briggs, 29, of Sabina, opened container of beer or intoxicating liquor, fined $50, assessed $125 court costs.

• Michael Sherbert, 18, of Fayetteville, drug paraphernalia, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs.

• Tracy Boldman, 47, of Wilmington, five charges of dog at large, assessed $625 court costs. Boldman must pay costs only.

• Jessie Kegley, 36, of Blanchester, disorderly conduct, fined $50, assessed $125 court costs.

• Tanya Howard, 35, of Blanchester, theft, sentenced to 90 days in jail (suspended), assessed $125 court costs.

• Devon Curtis, 24, of Wilmington, possession of marijuana, fined $50, assessed $125 court costs. The contraband was ordered destroyed.

• Tyler Jackson, 18, of Sparta, possession of marijuana, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs.

• Jessica Alexander, 18, of Detroit, disorderly conduct, assessed $125 court costs. Alexander must pay costs only.

• Raynasha Cannon, 18, of Cincinnati, disorderly conduct, assessed $125 court costs. Cannon must pay costs only.

• Erin Garrett, 35, of Wilmington, failure to reinstate fee, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. An additional charge of seat belt violation was dismissed.

• Kionne Whittaker, 29, of Cincinnati, driving under suspension or in violation of license restriction, fined $150, assessed $125 court costs.

• Richard Rhodes, 44, of Etna, O.V.I. sentenced to 90 days in jail (suspended), operator’s license suspended from Dec. 25, 2016 to June 24, 2017, fined $750, assessed $125 court costs. Rhodes will take part in supervised probation if the court will suspend $375 of fine. ALS vacated, additional charges of O.V.I. high test and marked lanes were dismissed.

• Heather Higman, 36, of Millville, going 115 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs.

• Nathanael Evans, 19, of Sevierville, going 96 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Ella Thomas, 44, of Louisville, driving under financial responsibility law suspension or cancellation, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs.

• Steven Shorten, 27, of Greenfield, failure to reinstate fee, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs.
