Looking forward to new terms of office

Clinton County public officials took their oaths of office Wednesday afternoon as they prepare to start new terms in January 2017. From left in the front row are Clinton County Sheriff Ralph Fizer Jr., Clinton County Recorder Brenda Huff, Clinton County Clerk of Courts Cindy Bailey and Clinton County Engineer Jeff Linkous; and from left in the back row are Clinton County Treasurer Jason Walt, Clinton County Prosecuting Attorney Richard W. Moyer, Clinton County Commissioner Kerry R. Steed and Clinton County Veterans Service Commissioner Richard James, who will represent disabled veterans. James is new to the Veterans Service Commission, succeeding Jack Rose. Brenda Woods, who will assume office next week as a new Clinton County commissioner, was sworn in Dec. 11.

Prior to administering oaths of office on Wednesday, Clinton County Common Pleas Judge John W. “Tim” Rudduck, right foreground, gave some remarks for the crowd assembled in the courtroom gallery and for the public officials, seated nearby, who were later sworn in.
