The East Clinton eighth grade boys basketball team defeated Clinton-Massie 48-32 Wednesday night.

Branson Smith had 19 points to lead the East Clinton offense.

Taylor McComas had nine points and Dylan Peterman scored seven. Kaleb Kingory chipped in with six points.

“Defense was key to this win,” EC coach Eli Hogsett said. “We really got after it with our defensive pressure, forced a lot of turnovers that lead to transition layups. The boys played with great energy throughout the whole game.”

The young Astros are 10-5 on the year.
