KEY PLAYERS RETURNING

Junior Sierra Christian provided strong pitching, recording 51 strikeouts and 3.30 ERA. Sierra was the key to our successful season and we are looking to her to provide leadership in the circle. The lone senior, Tori Bailey, returns with 3 consecutive all-SCOL selections. She has started every game since her freshman year and supplies profound defense combined with a .586 batting average and 52 RBI. She is 48 away from making the state career RBI list.

KEY NEWCOMERS

Sophomore MacKenzie Campbell missed all of last season with a knee injury. She will add depth to our pitching and provide strong defense to our middle infield. With a remarkable attitude, Tabby Vance is a true utility player. She will be a valuable asset offensively and provide ready defense in any situation. Role player Tiffanni Bailey has been tremendous in practice. The younger sister of Tori Bailey, Tiffanni is pure speed in the outfield or in running situations.

KEY PLAYERS LOST

Madi Cox, 2nd team All-SCOL selection with .455 batting average, 15 RBI and fundamentally solid defense.

RIGHT NOW I LIKE

I like our speed complimented with power. This is probably the fastest team I’ve had the pleasure to coach.

RIGHT NOW WE NEED TO IMPROVE

We need to improve our confidence. We need to believe we can win and improve our ability to finish.

LEAGUE FAVORITE

Clinton-Massie will be a tough game, but Wilmington always has a strong team, and Chillicothe will be a challenge.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU’D LIKE TO SAY ABOUT THIS TEAM

With one senior this is a very young team relying heavily on our sophomores and juniors to become role players and provide mature play and decision making. We have a lot to learn and need to find our confidence.
