The Falcons are 9-5 overall, 4-3 in the division. Goshen is 6-12, 0-7.

Clinton-Massie led 6-1 and 8-4 but Goshen rallied to tie the game at 8-8 in the fifth inning.

Both teams scored single runs in the ninth and Clinton-Massie won it in the 10th.

“Goshen played hard and had some timely hit,” CM coach Matt Doyle said. “It was a treat game. Proud of the girls for gutting out the win.”

Kayla Drake led the CM hit parade with two doubles and two singles. She also drove in a run.

Kiera Brightman had three hits, including a homer and double, and three RBI while Natalie Lay homered twice (she has 9 on the year) and knocked in three runs. Cassie Campbell also had three hits.

Brightman went the distance in the circle. She gave up just five earned runs and struck out eight.

“The girls rallied together to pull out a hard-fought win in the end,” Doyle said.
