WC athletes compete in Dilliard Twilight meet

BEREA — A limited number of Wilmington College athletes competed Friday in the Harrison Dilliard Twilight Meet hosted by Baldwin Wallace University on Friday.

Nate Marcum won the hammer throw with a throw of 54.38 meters. Andrew Pacifico was second and Joe Shuga finished third.

Blake Jamison runnerup in the shot put and third in the discus.

George Rickett was ninth in the 5,000-meter run.

On the women’s side, Emma Burke was fourth in the 400-meter dash in 60.73 seconds.

Kayli Sullivan finished fourth in the shot put with a toss of 12.04 meters.

The meet was not scored as a team as individuals were trying to improve marks to qualify for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Wilmington will have one more opportunity to improve individuals’ marks at the University of Mount Union next Wednesday.
