Grill master pastor retiring from Grace UMC

Pastor Chuck Shonkwiler of Grace United Methodist Church in Blanchester is retiring as pastor effective June 20. Also known for presiding over the grill during the church’s monthly Thursday free community dinners for most of his 11 years as pastor, the ladies gave him the apron, and the parents of the UMC custodian gave him the chef’s hat. “He will be greatly missed,” said Patty Williams.
