More than 200 children have experienced abuse or neglect in our community and are waiting for someone like you to speak up for their best interests. With a CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocates) volunteer, children are more likely to adjust to change and to find a safe, permanent home.
Clinton County CASA is looking for compassionate community members to help serve those children who have experienced abuse and neglect. CASA volunteers are ordinary people doing extraordinary work. Do you have 8 hours a month to give to a child in your community?
Recently, Clinton County CASA swore in a new CASA volunteer, Lisa Leininger. CASA volunteers undergo a rigorous screening and application process. They complete 32 hours of pre-service training and observation prior to being sworn in by Judge Chad L. Carey to serve as a CASA volunteer.
Training equips community volunteers with all the skills needed to show up for children who have experienced adversities. All children deserve someone in their corner, and each one of us has the potential to change a child’s story.
