WILMINGTON — The following report is compiled using a disposition report provided by Clinton County Municipal Court. The information includes the defendant’s name, age, residence if listed, charge(s) disposed, fine, court costs assessed, jail sentence and any special conditions. An appointed interim judge currently oversees the court, which administers the law in criminal misdemeanor cases.

The following list includes those who pleaded guilty or were found guilty between January 23 and January 27:

• Zackery Higginbotham, 21, of Wilmington, vehicular vandalism, sentenced to 180 days in jail (179 days suspended), fined $250, assessed $170 court costs. Higginbotham must take part in supervised probation. Restitution to be determined for the benefit of the victim.

• Kevin Hess, 54, of Wilmington, O.V.I., sentenced to 180 days in jail (suspended), license suspended from Jan. 19, 2023-Jan. 18, 2024, fined $1,075, assessed $170 court costs. Hess must take part in reporting probation and must complete a three-day non-residential driver intervention program. Hess was ordered not to consume alcohol/drugs of abuse while on probation. If compliant, the court will suspend $500 of the fine.

• Joshua Meade, 36, of Carroll, O.V.I., sentenced to 180 days in jail (suspended), license suspended from Jan. 27, 2023-Jan. 26, 2024, fined $1,075, assessed $170 court costs. Meade must take part in reporting probation and complete a three-day non-residential driver intervention program. If compliant, the court will suspend $275 of the fine. ALS vacated. An O.V.I.-low blood test was dismissed.

• Scott Hamilton, 40, of Wilmington, drug instrument possession, disorderly conduct, trespassing, sentenced to 150 days in jail (120 days suspended), fined $450, assessed $510 court costs. Hamilton must take part in supervised probation and must have no contact with the trespassing victim. A driving under suspension-failure to appear charge was dismissed. Hamilton may be granted early release to attend personal business.

• Kyle Whitley, 32, of New Vienna, persistent disorderly conduct, violating a protection order, sentenced to 90 days in jail (86 days suspended), fined $300, assessed $340 court costs. The ‘disorderly conduct’ charge was amended from a domestic violence charge. Whitley must have no contact with the victim, must commit no further offenses for four years, and must be monitored by non-reporting probation.

• Aron Cox, 29, of Oregonia, control of a vehicle while intoxicated, sentenced to 60 days in jail (suspended), fined $500, assessed $170 court costs. The offense was amended from an O.V.I. charge. Cox must complete a three-day non-residential driver intervention program and two years of non-reporting probation. If compliant, the court will suspend $250 of the fine. ALS vacated. An O.V.I.-low breathalyzer and a marked lane violation were dismissed.

• Noah Dado, 21, of Centerburg, control of a vehicle while intoxicated, sentenced to 60 days in jail (suspended), fined $500, assessed $170 court costs. The offense was amended from an O.V.I. charge. Dado must complete a three-day non-residential driver intervention program and two years of non-reporting probation. If compliant, the court will suspend $250 of the fine. ALS vacated. An O.V.I.-low breathalyzer and traffic violation were dismissed.

• Robert McGregor, 38, drug instrument possession, sentenced to 30 days in jail, fined $130, assessed $170 court costs.

•Jonathan Stevens, 40, of Washington Court House, theft, sentenced to 30 days in jail, fined $100, assessed $170 court costs.

• Sebastian Friend, 29, trespassing, sentenced to seven days in jail, fined $100, assessed $170 court costs.

• Sydney Flora, 25, of Columbus, going 99 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $130, assessed $170 court costs. The case was waived by Flora.

• Richard Gasaway, 50, of New Vienna, going 104 in a 65 mph speed zone, fined $130, assessed $170 court costs. The case was waived by Gasaway.

• Christopher Greenup, 35, of Morrow, marijuana possession, fined $100, assessed $170 court costs. The case was waived by Greenup.

• Barbara Jones, 38, of Sabina, theft. Jones must write a letter of apology to the victim. An obstructing official business charge was dismissed. Sentencing has been stayed.

• Julia Basden, 29, of Clarksville, assessed $170 court costs. Sentencing has been stayed.
